Full review

Until We Die is an incredibly engaging and unique base defense strategy game set in a post-apocalyptic world. As the player, you will find yourself constantly pondering the best strategies to defend your base against hordes of mutants brought in by meteorites.

The game's main goal is to survive for approximately 30 in-game days while fending off relentless attacks on your underground subway station. Starting with small packs of creatures, you'll progressively face larger and more dangerous mobs as time goes on. It's crucial to keep our hero, Ivan, alive and protect the power generator at all costs โ€” losing either one will result in an early end to the game.

What sets Until We Die apart from other strategy games is its unconventional approach. Instead of relying solely on advanced AI or computer-controlled units, you will have direct control over Ivan himself. As he commands his subjects into action with ass-kicking orders, it becomes clear that humans are quite reluctant to take initiative and require constant guidance.

This means there is never a dull moment as there's always something demanding your attention: building fortifications for defense, researching technology for stronger defenses, sending expeditions above ground to secure resources or attack mutant lairsโ€”everything rests upon your decision-making skills.

No detail should be overlooked when resources are scarce; gather supplies from crates scattered around or extract food from mushrooms (and whatever else happens to look edible). You might even spot a fat rat scurrying down the tracks!

All things considered, Until We Die offers an immersive side-scrolling experience that challenges players' strategic thinking while delivering heaps of fun along the way. So if you're ready for an exciting journey through post-apocalyptic subways filled with intense battles and tough decision-making processes โ€” this game has got you covered!
