Rodent and Plank is a thrilling run 'n gun shooter that manages to capture the essence of classic games like Gunstar Heroes, Earthworm Jim, and Metal Slug. As you dive into the game's vibrant world, you take on the role of Rodent, a small rat who stumbles upon a sentient piece of cosmic driftwood that bestows incredible powers upon him. Little does he know that this encounter will thrust him into a battle against the enigmatic Knights of the Round.
With four starting weapon types to choose from, each with their own unique abilities, Rodent can create an extensive arsenal by combining them in various ways. The result? A staggering array of remarkably lethal weapons at your disposal. If that's still not enough firepower for you, grenades and three tiers of FP (Focused Power) attacks are there to satisfy your craving for destruction.
One aspect that sets Rodent and Plank apart is its ever-changing gameplay experience in each level. From moments spent platforming to submarine piloting while being pursued by laser-wielding sharks – expect constant surprises as every level takes on a life of its own.
The hand-drawn art style within Rodent and Plank lends it an enchanting storybook quality – despite exploding teddy bears lurking around every corner. This attention to detail adds depth and charm to both characters and environments.
The music in Rodent and Plank carries a distinct techno-organic flair; think Dave Wise crossed with EDM vibes which perfectly complements the energetic gameplay experience.
