I recently had the opportunity to play Crystal Clash, a fast-paced and enjoyable game that combines elements of MOBA, tower defense, and deckbuilding. The game offers both 2v2 matches and co-op gameplay with a friend or new allies.

The gameplay mechanics in Crystal Clash are easy to pick up and provide a refreshing tug-of-war strategy experience. Assemble your decks using collected cards and crush your enemies in intense matches. I found the variety of playable Legions fascinating as each Legion offers unique gameplay mechanics that cater to different playstyles.

For example,

  • The Blue Legion focuses on energy effects and buildings for heavy combos.
  • The Green Legion utilizes heal-over-time effects, rooting enemies, and hordes of evolving saplings.
  • The Black Legion brings freezing spells, soul ripping abilities for powerful passive effects.
  • The White Legion specializes in healing spells targeted at multiple units while overwhelming opponents with masses of archers and knights.
  • Lastly, the Crystal Legion offers supporting abilities alongside mighty golems that control the battlefield.

Crystal Clash is completely free-to-play with options for quick 2v2 matches or cooperative challenges against AI opponents. While it does offer pay-to-advance-faster aspects through its business model, it is not pay-to-win. Players can unlock any cards using in-game currencies; real money purchases limited only to skins aimed at supporting the developers.
